Maybe they go for a yearly checkup, eat some veggies, or try to squeeze in exercise when life allows. But here’s the truth: most of us are only scratching the surface when it comes to real health and wellness.
That’s why I’m so excited to kick off my special October blog series: Taking Back Your Health, Clarity, and Purpose. Over the next five weeks, I’ll be sharing insights, tips, and practical steps to help you look at your health in a whole new way, not just your physical body, but your mind, your spirit, your relationships, and even your finances.
And it’s no coincidence that October is Health Literacy Month. Studies show that nearly 9 out of 10 adults struggle to understand and use their health information effectively (U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services). That means most of us are left making decisions with only part of the picture. Lack of knowledge often leads to poor outcomes, unnecessary stress, and feeling powerless.
But the good news? Awareness is the first step toward change.
When I was a kid, I remember all those commercials telling us “Milk. It does a body good.” Maybe you grew up with them too. And yes, nutrition matters, but true health goes way beyond the dinner plate or the doctor’s office.
Each area influences the others. If one is out of balance, it ripples into the rest of your life.
You don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight. The most powerful changes start small.
Remember, clarity creates momentum.
